Separate the acoustic path from the cosmetic shell
The system does not require every visible panel to be the acoustic radiator. Active/wetted surfaces, structural frames, isolation members, service panels and user-facing finishes can be different materials optimized for different jobs.
Strong candidate for wetted or active radiating test surfaces where corrosion resistance and acoustic transmission matter.
Candidate for cost-effective frames, electronics bays, heat spreaders and non-wetted structural parts where appropriate.
Useful for isolated covers, service panels, UI housings and non-radiating architecture when validated for environment and cleaning chemistry.
EPDM and comparable materials remain candidates for vibration isolation and sealing, subject to acoustic/environmental testing.
Electropolishing and passivation are research leads for stainless active surfaces; coating compatibility requires validation.
Public documentation specifies 3D CAD, allowing Creo, SolidWorks, NX or another appropriate production toolchain.
No gauge or joining method is frozen
12- and 14-gauge stainless are useful concept starting points, not released requirements. Final thickness, stiffening, weld/bond/stud architecture and flatness tolerances must come from structural, modal, acoustic, fatigue and manufacturing analysis.
