Safe Session Monitoring
A DreamStream session is treated as a monitored lifecycle with explicit entry, intervention, exit, and recovery states.

What this layer contributes.
DreamStream public pages describe roles, boundaries, and user protections without publishing proprietary implementation details.
Preflight
Fit, user readiness, permissions, device status, and baseline conditions are checked before capture.
Signal quality
The system distinguishes degraded input from meaningful change rather than forcing a reconstruction.
State estimation
Sleep-stage and supporting physiological context inform session handling without being presented as mind reading.
Anomaly handling
Distress, disconnects, timing limits, and system faults trigger bounded responses.
Safe wake
Least-disruptive exit is preferred, with escalation paths if recovery does not proceed normally.
Post-session recovery
Cooldown, user orientation, archive state, and event logging close the session deliberately.
Five visible stages.
The operating path is intentionally legible so the user can understand where control, uncertainty, and intervention enter the system.
Enough to understand the system—not enough to expose the implementation.
Consistent imagery for engineering and narrative continuity.
Renderings support concept communication, books, scripts, and future CGI development while remaining separate from validation claims.
