The visible appliance can remain a refrigerator, beverage cooler, or specialty cabinet. The engineering change is the heat-pumping architecture: magnetocaloric materials, magnetic field control, heat-transfer fluid, heat exchangers, and control timing replace the conventional vapor-compression concept in the research pathway.
