A staged adaptive-fashion platform beginning with wearer-selected color and passive reactive accents. Physiological sensing and mood-responsive behavior remain optional later research, governed by privacy, consent, confidence, and a hard manual override.

System architecture

Modular layers with explicit failure boundaries.

The rendering communicates subsystem intent, not a certified construction drawing. Final materials, layer order, thickness, interfaces, and performance depend on the frozen product configuration and validation program.

Reality

Established building blocks

Thermochromic and photochromic textiles are commercially available.
Electrochromic fibers, conductive textiles, and physiological e-textiles have been demonstrated in research.
Removable low-power controllers and local wearable interfaces are established engineering building blocks.

What still has to be engineered

Generation 1: passive reactive accents with no electronics.
Generation 2: four-to-six user-commanded zones and curated palettes.
Generation 3: optional personalized physiological-state cues processed locally.

No finished, certified, or market-ready full-garment product is claimed.
Temperature-responsive color is not evidence of emotion.
Public display from inferred state is off by default and requires explicit wearer consent each session.
The system must abstain when data quality or model confidence is insufficient.

Each stage earns the next level of public language. A rendering or successful material coupon never substitutes for a complete-system test.
