Established building blocks

  • Flame-resistant shells, moisture barriers, thermal liners, PASS, SCBA, and physiological sensors are established technologies.
  • Exposure logging and local temperature sensing can be implemented with ruggedized removable modules.
  • Complete-ensemble certification and care procedures—not electronics—define the baseline protection.

  • Add sparse, perceptible thermal and physiological risk trends without creating false precision.
  • Support inspection traceability, pre-use self-test, and post-exposure service records.
  • Evaluate optional cooling only for a defined mission profile and with a fail-isolated architecture.
