Distributed Sensor & Field Mesh

Low-power fixed and mobile sensing nodes that extend plant, soil and microclimate awareness across a property or farm.

Maturity Commercial IoT foundation / Aurora integration

Architecture role

Not every measurement needs to ride on a large robot. Small nodes can monitor conditions continuously, while mobile machines provide calibration, higher-resolution inspection and physical action.

Core capabilities

  • Low-power field nodes for soil, climate and infrastructure state.
  • Mesh, sub-GHz, cellular or local wireless selected by terrain and data volume.
  • Edge filtering so routine sensor data does not overwhelm fleet networks.
  • Automatic discovery, health checks and battery-state reporting.
  • Graceful offline operation with later synchronization to AgroCore.

Aurora design direction

Aurora uses the field mesh as a distributed sensory layer, but autonomous machines retain enough local perception to operate safely if the network disappears.
