Architecture role
Photonics provides a noncontact actuator that can deliver energy to a very small target area. The architecture is useful only when perception, geometry and safety authorization all agree.
Core capabilities
- Semiconductor or other laser sources selected by required wavelength, power, duty cycle and target interaction.
- High-speed aiming and focus control for stationary plant targets and, where technically justified, moving pest targets.
- Closed-loop verification that an intended treatment occurred inside the approved envelope.
- Physical beam containment, shutters, angle limits and independent inhibit authority.
- Thermal and optical monitoring to detect degraded optics, contamination or unsafe operating conditions.
Aurora design direction
Weed Ray treats laser energy as the primary weed-control actuator. Crop Ray can use photonic treatment only for applications with validated species selectivity and safety. Garden Ray uses a more conservative operating envelope suitable for residential environments.
